USATODAY.com - 'Milbloggers' are typing their place in history

There's a report by Mark Memmott at USA Today on military bloggers, with several links.

The lead isn't promising:
Imagine some of the soldiers who survived the Battle of Gettysburg stopping the next day to write their dramatic tales - and people around the world instantly reading them. If that battle had been fought today, no imagination would be necessary...
(I beg to disagree. For those of us safe at home, imagination is just about all we bring to reading any sort of account from a war zone. And thank goodness - and the people serving in the military - that we only have to imagine living under those conditions.)

But after that the Memmott article provides a good overview. (Use title link.)
