The Scotsman: Sir Sean heads call for UK to leave EU fishing policy

Almost a quarter million UK citizens are begging British leaders, via petition, to break from Europe's common fisheries policy - and Sean Connery (yes, that Sean Connery) is leading the charge.
The petition will today be presented to the House of Commons, where the SNP leader, Alex Salmond, will launch a bill aimed at the same result.
This is not coming out of the blue. If you feel like getting basic background, the The Scotsman has more than 300 archived "Sea fishing industry" articles, many of them addressing the problems associated with being aligned with the EU.

By the way, when you see "Finnie" in the headlines on this topic, it usually means the aptly-named Ross Finnie, the Scottish fisheries minister. Finnie is with the Scottish Liberal Democrats.

Hmmm. There's a Salmond and a Finnie fighting for fishermen?
