Unbelievable. The USDA is claiming that Ernest Hemingway's cats (their descendants, actually) are exhibits and must be treated as such. And that the people who care for them must get an exhibitor's license. And... and... Oh, it's too nuts to cover in a sentence or two. In case it isn't clear, I think the USDA has some explaining to do. I don't know about you, but I can think of better uses of taxpayer money than sending a couple of agents down to videotape cats from a hotel room that oversees the Hemingway property. (And that's just for starters.)
