We've been getting much-needed rain and snow here in our part of Oregon lately - but perhaps not enough to fend off a drought this summer. (The nice thing about living high up in this watershed is that in the good years you can look at the mountain to the south of you and see at a glance that there's enough water to make it through the summer. The bad thing about living high up in this watershed is that in years with poor snowpack you can look at that same, solitary mountain, and know you're in trouble. This year, we're really close to being in serious trouble.)
So I'm hoping for more snowstorms this spring, at least around here.
But, oh my, look at what's happening in Colorado. They needed more snow, no doubt, but this is wild! (Use title link for details.)
