On the BBC History - Historic Figures page, one of the "historic figures making headlines this month" is Margaret Thatcher (1925- ), who in March of 1975 made her first speech as leader of the Conservative Party.
The other figures include David Lloyd George, who died in 1945, and Robert Walpole, who died in 1745.
