Both series have sold great guns in trade paperback, to the surprise of a number of people (who thought the larger format and higher price - not to mention the reputation of trade paperbacks for being niche market publications - would drive away just all sorts of potential customers).

Thanks for the news about Jan Karon's book.
Her last novel in the Mitford series, "Light from Heaven," comes out November 8th. And guess who gets to sponsor her first appearance on her book tour for that book? (I'll wait while you guess... :-)
ME! My church, actually. We can't hold it at our own church, Chapel on the Hill, since they want room for several hundred, so we're holding it at a nearby church. I'm very, very excited about this! (Gee...can you tell??)We invited her because we held these "Chapel Book Teas" for a couple of years, based on each of the Mitford books.
Can't wait to meet one of my favorite authors!!
