This article contains valid scolding and blunt advice to wordsmiths dealing with current events - or, for that matter, any responsible adult. I wouldn't read it right before dinner or bedtime, though. This doesn't fully fit under the suitable for mixed company heading, but I think it's important, and there's nothing rank or gratuitous. Ugly, yes - but that's because the subject is ugly.

It's too easy to fall into word usage just because it's become common usage. Read this article and sharpen your message - not to mention your thinking.
