I missed the television documentary that this article (linked above) is based on - I don't have a National Geographic Channel option with my cable service. Maybe they'll work out some arrangement with another network to air this? Sounds interesting, in any case. The article by itself is interesting.
And, for anyone who isn't pregnant and can't arrange their own unborn baby show on ultrasound, may I politely suggest checking in on Umbert the Unborn now and again? It's a daily cartoon done by Gary Cangemi, who leaves most other cartoonists in the dust, in my humble opinion. Sometimes the strips have a pro-life theme, and sometimes they're religious - but often they just poke fun at life and culture in general. (The send-up on "Who Wants to Be A Millionaire?" was hysterical. I say that from a household where Who Wants to Be A Millionaire? is vicariously played with gusto and good cheer, by the way.) Umbert tends to run in series, so it pays to be a regular. A website specifically for Umbert is under construction. For now you can catch him and his friends at http://catholic.net/culture_of_life/template_channel.phtml?channel_id=7
The website is at www.umberttheunborn.com. Anyone looking for reprint rights for church bulletins, etc., should check there.
Cangemi is the author of a book of collected cartoons, called Umbert the Unborn: A Womb With a View, Circle Press, 2003, ISBN 0974366110. Right now, for whatever reason, it's a little tricky to find a copy except at the author's website. Used copies pop up now and then, if you can't find a new one.
