Green before green was hip (and lost its bearings)

Sheila Wray Gregoire writes about living 'green' without being a green fanatic. If only the fanatics would listen, I think a lot of people could be spared a whole lot of grief, up to and including needless starvation.

Thanks for the hat tip. I think Mrs. Gregoire makes a LOT of sense. I was thinking about this more today, and I've concluded that the reason HER form of "green" isn't in style is that there's no money in it.

Barb, Huge amounts of money and massive power grabs are certainly fueling the fire, but I suspect that a lot of people on the 'green' bandwagon are on it for the usual bandwagon reasons: for them it has become something big and important and makes them part of the in crowd (or so they like to think). And some of them are actually scared and don't know what else to do. And many just don't know enough to question the flimsy evidence of the people scaring them, at a guess.
