I think we still need the hams, but with blogs we can get the word out fast to anybody paying attention on the internet. Even though ...Kathryn,<BR/> <BR/>Thanks for visiting my blog. <BR/><BR/>Even though the tsunami alert was cancelled on the radio, our TV warning system continued to issue the alert for another 30 minutes, until about 9:40PM. Though we live far enough inland to be safe, we would have left if an evacuation was ordered. <BR/><BR/>We've had a couple of power outtages, the latest at 3AM. I don't know yet if they were related to the earthquakes and aftershocks.
